We made it. Welcome to the Palm Springs
0:06
Surf Club. About a 2 and 1 half hour
0:08
drive from San Diego and LA.
0:14
The club has a super cool layout. You
0:17
walk in, you see the wave pool, and
0:19
there's an amazing backdrop of the
0:21
mountains right behind the pool.
0:24
As you walk around the area, there's
0:25
other great amenities like a lazy river,
0:29
a fullscale restaurant, and even two
0:32
bars that you can hang out and chill
0:34
after your surf. Oh, and there's a water
0:40
Pretty great place to hang out for the
0:42
day, whether you're with a few buddies
0:44
or your entire family.
0:49
All right, let's paddle out. The wave
0:51
pool has a few different types of wave
0:54
types or sessions that you can book
0:59
First up, A-frames. This is going to be
1:02
most similar to a punching beach break.
1:05
You can take both lefts and rights off
1:08
the peak, sharing waves of six with 12
1:11
other surfers. The waves come pretty
1:13
quick, so you got to paddle back out
1:15
there and get out of the way uh so you
1:17
can line up for your next set.
1:22
Next up is lefts and rights. This is my
1:28
It lines up either three waves on the
1:30
left or right side of the pool and it's
1:32
basically like a long point break or
1:34
reef break. You can ride it all the way
1:37
across the end of the pool. It's got a
1:39
quick takeoff and then it mellows out to
1:42
section of the wave where you can really
1:45
While not shown in this video, the other
1:47
two sessions they offer are a slab
1:50
session, which is for more advanced
1:52
surfers. It's most similar to barrel
1:54
riding. And then they also have a
1:56
session called bike, which is a mellow
2:01
Each session lasts an hour and it costs
2:06
Bottom line, is it worth the price?
2:09
Well, hey, it's a novelty. It's super
2:10
fun to do once or twice and the wave is
2:13
consistent. It's fun. Uh but hey, you
2:15
still have the open ocean and that's
2:17
free. Uh but if you have the time and
2:19
you're want to come out, check out Palm
