Whether you are visiting during the day or at night, there is always action at Papas and Beer Rosarito. During the day, hang out at the expansive beach bar. At night, head inside and that’s really where the party begins!
Generally, there is always an entrance fee required for Papas and Beer Rosarito. This comes with a wristband so you can flash it to patrons allowing you to come and go easily. Some wristbands come with the upgraded open bar. Open bar costs about $30/person. While it sounds like a good deal, the open bar doesn’t start until 9pm and it only includes the cheapest wells, mixed cocktails and beer. If you don’t mind Tecate, get your plastic cup refilled all night and you’ll save some money from the tourist priced drinks.
Once you are inside, Papas and Beer Rosarito is huge! There are multiple levels, bars and the floor is sand to keep that beach atmosphere. At the front, there is a large stage which is used for big name acts throughout the year. In the middle, find a mechanical bull which is always fun to ride and watch people take a ride in an attempt to not fall off. And of course, the experience would not be complete without blowing whistles and shot trays around every corner.
Papas and Beer Rosarito is loud, raucous and the party keeps going until 2-3am. Summer weekends are the busiest, especially Holiday weekends. In summary, it’s a heck of a good time for those that enjoy a wild night!
Hotels Near Papas and Beer in Rosarito
Fortunately, there are plenty of hotels near Papas and Beer in Rosarito. In this section, I’ll share a few of the most convenient hotels near Papas and Beer, the beaches, and the center of Rosarito. In my opinion, not having easy access to all of these options will make your stay far less enjoyable. So, let’s get into a few of the conveniently located hotels near Papas and Beer in Rosarito.
Oceana Rosarito Inn
The Oceana is the closest hotel to Papas and Beer. In fact, the Oceana is nearly on top of Papas and Beer. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not for you. The blaring sound of the club reverberates off the walls of the complex until the bars close in the wee hours of the morning. If you are planning on partying all night anyway, then this place is for you. If you want something a bit quieter – keep reading for other options.
The Oceana has stairs with direct beach access. If you ever play in the Mex Volleyball tournament, this is the closest hotel to the courts. They also have an outdoor pool to soak in at the end of a beach day.
Rosarito Beach Hotel
Unlike the Oceana, the Rosarito Beach Hotel is a bit of a further walk from the central party zone. With that said, it’s still short (about 5-7 minutes). However, this walk allows for enough distance for your hotel room to remain quiet enough to sleep without ear plugs at night!
For guests at Rosarito Beach Hotel, you will enjoy beach front views looking down to Rosarito Pier and the surf below.
Hotel Corona
The last hotel near Papas and Beer in Rosarito on my list is Hotel Corona. Similar to the Rosarito Beach Hotel, the Corona is also about a 5-7 minute walk from the central clubbing zone. This time, the walk is North in the other direction and about two blocks from the beach. It’s still close enough to everything, has a great pool and allows you to sleep at night!
For Rent Rosarito
Nowadays, AirBnb is so common that it’s easy to find apartments, condos and homes for rent in Rosarito. You don’t have to stay in a hotel anymore. In fact, I know the Oceana has units available for rent directly on AirBnB.
During the last three times I went to Rosarito, I booked my place for rent in Rosarito two out of the three times on AirBnb. Once at the Oceana and another time in a private home also within walking distance. The other time I stayed was booked directly with the Rosarito Beach Hotel.
The nice thing about visiting Rosarito from the States is that your dollar goes further. Typically, you will be able to book a weekend beach getaway at a decent place on or near the beach for less than half the price for something comparable in San Diego.
